Welcome Tina Herbert to Mickle & Bass

Ann Mickle and Alan Bass are pleased to welcome attorney Tina Herbert to the Mickle & Bass family.  Tina will provide dedicated legal representation throughout the state of South Carolina to victims of injury in the areas of workers’ compensation, automobile negligence, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, premises liability, and product liability. Tina is a native of Columbia, SC and she was most recently employed by the City of Columbia as the director of its Office of Business Opportunity.

Prior to working for the City of Columbia, Tina was employed as an insurance defense attorney at McAngus, Goudelock & Currie, a defense firm with offices across the states of South Carolina and North Carolina. While at MG&C, Tina primarily represented insurance companies and employers in workers’ compensation cases. In fact, it was in her capacity as an insurance defense attorney that Tina first met Ann Mickle in 2007, when Ann represented injured workers who had filed workers’ compensation claims against Tina’s clients. “Tina was fierce”, remembers Ann. Ann took note of what a great and knowledgeable advocate Tina was for her clients.   Ann and Tina have since developed a great friendship and a spiritual kinship.

While she was successful during her stint as an insurance defense lawyer, Tina knew it wasn’t quite a perfect fit for her. She’d always had a desire to help out the little guy, the underdog, the person who didn’t have a voice. Tina’s response to joining the Mickle & Bass team sheds light on why they’re so pleased to have her on board – “I am excited to be here. I feel extremely blessed and extremely honored. This move was for my own personal development and my spiritual development.”   Tina looks forward to putting to work on behalf of victims of injury across South Carolina the experience and insight – a knowledge of how the other side thinks – which she developed during her years as an insurance defense lawyer. She will no doubt prove to be an asset to her clients.

Welcome to the team, Tina!
